What’s biting in our area this time of year? Well, it’s still really hot, so the bite is tough. But, if you have access to a farm pond, you can usually entice something to bite with a gulp minnow on a jighead or some type of small grub or soft plastic. Today, Riley and I caught a few crappie and bass on a variety of offerings. Most of the better sized fish this day came on a small black curly tail grub paired with a plain 1/32 to 1/16 oz jig head. in our area, we are definitely looking forward to some cooler weather and more active fish.
